Care Straight Brush — Precision Engineered for Unruly Hair

Not just a brush. The Care Straight Brush is STRAINIA's founding innovation — engineered around the way unruly hair actually behaves. Its Y-shaped pressing structure gradually guides hair from a wide entry zone into a progressively narrower, more ordered press zone, applying controlled, even tension with every stroke. Softer bristles in the entry section ease the hair in gently; firmer bristles in the press section do the smoothing work. The result: visibly smoother, more manageable hair — no chemicals, no heat required.

The body is curved in the opposite direction to a conventional brush, following the natural shape of the head to deliver linear force evenly across each strand. Its slim profile makes it easy to comb from underneath, and the centre of gravity is optimised so the weight of the brush itself does the work when combing straight downward.

Finished in a gender- and age-neutral matte paint that feels natural in the hand.

How to Use

Gently loosen any tangles near the ends first, then comb slowly and carefully from root to tip.

For unruly or wavy hair:

1. Brush the ends inward, following the shape of the head
2. Flip the surface hair over and brush the underneath sections firmly
3. When blow-drying, dry the roots thoroughly before working on the ends
4. Stretch and smooth any particularly unruly sections with the brush while drying

For best results, use as part of the full STRAINIA routine with Care Straight Milk or Oil before blow-drying.

The Story Behind the Brush

STRAINIA's designers drew inspiration from karesansui — the Japanese art of Zen dry gardens, where carefully raked gravel flows in curved lines around stones before settling into clean, straight paths. They saw in those lines the same journey unruly hair takes: from chaos, through guided tension, into order. That philosophy is built into every detail of the Care Straight Brush.

Precautions

For external use on hair only. Discontinue use if irritation, wounds, swelling or eczema are present. A slight natural odour from animal bristles is normal on first use. Do not apply prolonged direct heat from a dryer or pour hot water directly on the brush. Use gentle strokes — excessive force may damage hair, scalp and bristles. Not suitable for use on hair transplants, partial wigs, hair extensions or hair undergoing scalp treatment. Use with care on permed hair — do not pull or force through tangles.
